The New Bern, NC, golf community is among the best in the country, and the golf course at Taberna Country Club is considered by many to be the area’s finest. Along with our beautiful, private 225-acre golf course, we offer club facilities that provide an array of fabulous amenities for our members and guests. Entitles member the use of all Club dining, tennis and pool privileges. Member events that utilize the Club’s dining and pool facilities are included. A Social Individual Membership does not provide for spouse access at the pool. The spouse of a Social Individual Member has dining privileges when accompanied by a member. Social members will receive 10, onetime guest passes per year to the pool. Pool guest fee, $5.00 per person/ day. Members may golf at member guest rates a maximum of 3 times per month, with practice facility privileges on those occasions only.

Club Management may extend corporate Memberships to any corporation, partnership, trust or other business organization upon approval. Corporate members and their families shall be entitled to the same rights and privileges of members. A corporate membership may have a minimum of 3 designees. No maximum. - Members who are in residence 3 months or less are considered Part-Time Members and with approval, may pay reduced dues of $100 per month during their period of absence and full dues for their membership category upon return. Food minimums apply.
- Likewise, Non-Resident Members, i.e. those members whose primary residence is more than 100 miles outside of Craven County, may pay reduced dues of $100 per month for those months when living at their primary home. Food minimums apply.

- Taberna is a private club.
- Regular dues are payable monthly in advance. The month in which any membership is terminated shall count as a full month for purposes of dues.
- All individuals utilizing Club facilities and attending functions are expected to be dues-paying members or guests accompanied by dues-paying members. Spouses, who are not under a membership plan, may use dining facilities and attend functions when in the
presence of a member. - Termination of membership shall result in the loss of all rights and privileges. Members may resign from the Club at any time by giving written notice to Club Management and paying all dues and other charges owed at the time such notice is received. Approved re-enrollment will require payment of the initiation fee. Initiation fees are nonrefundable.
- Adjustment of dues are provided for Club management-approved medical reasons and approved leaves of absence.
Enjoy the classic elegance of our beautiful Clubhouse, which serves as the focal point for Taberna. A panoramic wall of windows provides a spectacular view of the golf course finishing holes and lake. The Clubhouse, designed after the famed Swiss Castle of Nydegg, serves a variety of lunches, dinners, a host of fabulous holiday brunches, live music, along with a series of special member events throughout the year.
The classic elegance of our beautiful Clubhouse at Taberna Country Club is perfect for a banquet or reception. In addition to providing a location for member events, dinners and receptions, the club’s ballroom and adjacent pro shop space can accommodate up to 176 seated or 243 non-seated guests for parties, wedding receptions and other functions. The Taberna Restaurant includes expert Chef Ben and Leslie Wheat culinary team. The club also features an outdoor veranda overlooking the golf course and lakes.

If tennis is your game, you’ll enjoy the four lighted championship Har-Tru courts. Whether you participate in competitive league play, or just want to play socially, Taberna’s tennis program appeals to players of all skill levels.
The Course at Taberna Country Club
For all the wonderful amenities, the real star of the show is Taberna Country Club’s course design, which was crafted by Senior Nicklaus Designer Jim Lipe. This 18-hole championship layout will both challenge and invite golfers of all skill and ability levels.
Players at Taberna enjoy the unsurpassed beauty and relaxing solitude of the tree-lined fairways, sparkling lakes and white sand bunkers. This 6,917-yard course is nestled among rolling hills, breathtaking views and manicured greens
